Microblading in Spanish Fork UT

What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the appearance of eyebrows by creating fine, hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs. A trained technician uses a small handheld tool with tiny needles to deposit pigment just beneath the skin’s surface, resulting in a softer and more natural look compared to traditional tattooing.

The procedure typically takes about two to three hours and involves minimal discomfort since a numbing cream is usually applied. Healing takes around one to two weeks on the surface, with full results settling after about a month, and the effects can last between one and three years depending on skin type and aftercare.

Microbladed eyebrows is especially popular among people with sparse or uneven brows or those looking for a more defined, low-maintenance look. Proper aftercare—such as keeping the area clean and dry, avoiding sweating or swimming, and not picking at the skin—is essential for the best results, and most people require a touch-up session within a couple of months.

Microbladed eyebrows is especially popular among people with sparse or uneven brows or those looking for a more defined, low-maintenance look. Step by Step Process

The microblading process is a detailed, multi-step procedure designed to create natural-looking, fuller eyebrows while ensuring safety, precision, and long-lasting results. It begins with consultation and planning, where I work with you to design your ideal brow shape, and continues through careful pigment application and aftercare guidance. Each step is important for achieving symmetrical, realistic brows that suit your face and heal properly over time.

  • Consult, Skin Assessment, and Prep

With every client, I begin by getting a clear understanding of your brow goals so we can create a look that truly fits you. Prior to your appointment, I’ll review your medical history, assess your skin type, and ask for a photo of your brows in natural outdoor lighting. This helps me evaluate your current brow shape, growth pattern, and how your skin may hold pigment.

  • Brow Mapping, Shaping, and Approval

I measure your face and map out your brows using precise tools to create a balanced, symmetrical shape. A temporary outline is drawn, and you review and approve (or adjust) the design before moving forward.

  • Numbing and Pigment Selection

A topical numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable throughout the service while I select and customize a pigment that best matches your natural brow hair and skin tone.

Once you’re fully numb, I begin with light, shallow hair strokes to gently open the skin and start building your brows. After the first pass, a layer of pigment is applied and allowed to absorb into the skin.

At that point, a secondary numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort levels are maintained for the remainder of the appointment, allowing me to continue building depth and detail in your brows.

  • Microblading and Pigment Application

Using a handheld tool with ultra-fine needles, I create hair-like strokes while depositing pigment into the skin. Additional pigment is applied over the area and left briefly to enhance color absorption.

  • Final Detailing and Cleaning

I perfect the brows by filling in gaps, ensuring symmetry, and refining the shape. The area is then cleaned and a soothing ointment is applied.

  • Aftercare

After your appointment, your brows will go through a healing process that can feel a little unpredictable, but it’s completely normal. Immediately after your session, your brows may appear darker, bolder, and more defined than expected. Over the next several days, they will soften, lighten, and settle into a more natural look.

Proper aftercare is key to achieving the best results. I’ll provide you with detailed instructions, but the main things to expect are:

Keeping the area clean and dry

Avoiding sweating, swimming, and excessive moisture during healing

No picking, scratching, or plucking the brows while they heal

The healing process typically takes about 7–14 days on the surface, with full results settling in around 4–6 weeks. Everyone heals differently, so patience is important. Trust the process, your brows will soften beautifully.

Aftercare and Healing

After microblading eyebrows, proper aftercare is essential for the best healing and long-lasting results. In the first few days, the brows may look darker and slightly irritated, then begin to flake and fade as the skin heals. This is a normal part of the process as the pigment settles into the skin. Over the next few weeks, the color gradually softens and evens out, with full results typically visible after about a month. I will provide aftercare instructions to carefully help protect the pigment, prevent infection, and ensure your brows heal beautifully.

  • First 24–48 hours (initial healing)

The brows may look darker and slightly bolder than expected. Keep the area clean and dry, and avoid touching them. A small amount of redness or tenderness is normal.

  • Days 3–7 (scabbing and flaking stage)

Light scabbing or flaking will begin as the skin heals. Do not pick, scratch, or peel the brows, as this can remove pigment and affect results. Avoid sweating, swimming, and steam.

  • Days 7–14 (fading phase)

The scabs naturally fall off, and the brows may appear lighter or patchy. This is normal as the pigment settles deeper into the skin.

  • Weeks 3–4 (color reappears)

The color gradually becomes more visible and even as healing continues. The brows start to look softer and more natural.

  • Weeks 4–8 (final healing + touch-up)

The skin fully heals, and a touch-up appointment is usually done to fill in any faded or uneven areas and perfect the shape.

  • Ongoing care tips

Avoid heavy sun exposure, exfoliating products on the brow area, and retinol near the brows. Always follow your my specific aftercare instructions for best results.
